I spoke at a San Diego event yesterday that was sponsored by Constant Contact and wsRadio (internet talk radio). The topic I spoke on was “The Essentials of Using Facebook for Business”. The two other speakers spoke about email marketing and blogging.
Someone after the seminar asked me for clarification on the following & said they think other people had the same question:
Facebook Fan Page Admin or Page Creator Is Not Displayed On Facebook Fan Page
Attendee’s Question: How can a visitor to a Facebook business fan page not know who created the business fan page if it was created when that individual was logged into their personal Facebook account?
Answer: Facebook does not show the name of the fan page admin that makes a post on a business page, nor a link to that fan page admin’s personal account. Instead they display the fan page logo & fan page name alongside whatever was posted. (Multiple admins can therefore post on the same business fan page and all of the posts will identify the “fan page name” as the poster.)
Example Facebook Fan Page
See example below and note that the posts are made by the “fan page name”:
How To Reveal Facebook Business Fan Page Owner or Admin – If You Want To!
If you want admins to be identified on your Facebook business fan page, there is an option to do just that. Read “Facebook Reveals Fan Page Owners” to learn how to use this feature.
